This course presents an overview of legal issues and the disease process. Infection control is a rapidly changing field. This is an overview of how the health care provider, who is at risk of occupation exposure to blood and/or body fluid, may be protected from contracting a communicable disease. Changes occur rapidly; therefore instructors are valuable resources for the most up to date information. You will learn about Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, AIDS, and other communicable diseases.
